Arshdeep Singh, a young Indian fast bowler, said that the key to his success in the first T20 match against the West Indies was using different pitches, especially slower ones. Arshdeep, who played in Southampton’s first Twenty20 International match against England earlier this month (earning 24 points from 4 rounds), took two wickets on his return to the national team. “It was an interesting time. I’m happy with how well I did. Since the team won, everyone was twice as happy. Because of the break, I didn’t play for a long time. So, I wanted to play with Pallas (Mhambrey) to work with him and get better,” Ashdeep said at a news conference.

“I thought, ‘Keep it simple, use wickets a lot, use the slower wickets, and try to pin my New Yorker.’ I think that worked for me.” Ashdeep has only played for India twice. He says that his success is due to knowing what his role is on the team.

“I know my roles and responsibilities very well. When it was my turn to bowl, both the team manager and the captain told me what my job was. It helped me see things more clearly and gave me a lot of confidence, so now I can make plans. The way Bhuvi bhai bowls, he keeps pressure on one end, which helps me get wickets.” Kyle Myers beat Arshdeep badly in his first round-in. He got rid of the batsman in the opening fourth.
Arshdeep Singh talked about Dinesh Karthik:
“He (Meyers) was aggressive from the start, played hard, and could have taken a chance on the bouncer, but my gut told me to go for it, and it paid off.” He is 23 years old. The 19-year-old also said that Dinesh Karthik had helped India get to 190-6. (41 not out from 19 balls).

In the end, West Indies lost again by a score of 8-122, and the visitors won by 68 runs.
