Israel’s Ambassador to India today publicly condemned a filmmaker from his country who called ‘The Kashmir Files’ “propaganda” and “obscene film” at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. Gillon, in his tweet addressed to Lapid, said that India-Israel ties are very strong and will survive the “damage” caused by his remarks.

BJP leader Khushbu Sundar thanked Gillon and said that his words acted like a “calm of comfort”. He added, “The pain and trauma shown in the film is not a display of distorted history, but what Kashmiri Pandits actually had to go through.”
