Like disappearing messages, the messages will appear on special mirrors installed at select locations in Delhi and disappear without a trace.
Anushka Sharma has partnered with WhatsApp to launch mirrored messages in mall women’s restrooms across Delhi.
The new privacy-first features further enhance WhatsApp’s built-in layers of protection, providing users with a safe place to have their most private conversations,” Meta India Vice-President Sandhya Devanathan said.

When motion is detected on a restroom mirror, a message and QR code will appear, offering suggestions for checking in via WhatsApp. Like a disappearing message on WhatsApp, the message vanishes afterward.
Behind mirrored perspex, the messages are displayed on 4K LED screens. According to the statement, motion triggers the messages, which only appear when someone approaches.
The actress said, “I have partnered with WhatsApp to raise awareness about the importance of providing women with a secure space to confide in others and how a private conversation can empower women to speak up and seek help when their safety and well-being might be threatened.” When I haven’t heard from someone in a while, and that one private message can be a lifeline, I truly believe it is important to check in on a friend, colleague, loved one.”
