Seema Haider and Sachin Meena are also being interrogated at a secret location in Noida.
According to the Uttar Pradesh Police, Seema, 30, and Sachin, 22, live in Greater Noida, near Delhi, where Sachin runs a grocery store. PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) brought them together online in 2019.
Seema was arrested on July 4 for illegally entering India without a visa via Nepal with her four children under the age of seven, while Sachin was jailed for sheltering them.
In front of the media and the police on July 4, Sachin and Seema confessed their love for each other, urging the Indian government to allow them to get married.
In an interview with IndiNews earlier this month, Seema said she felt like an Indian after getting bail. “My husband is a Hindu, so I’m a Hindu,” she said.
The Indian government has been urged by Seema’s husband Ghulam Haider to help him reunite with his wife in a video message from Saudi Arabia. Despite this, Seema claimed a threat to her life if she returned to Pakistan and that she didn’t wish to return to Ghulam Haider.
