He shared a deep fake video made by Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Saturday to warn people. A deep fake is an artificial intelligence that creates convincing images, audio and video.
The 56-second clip shows a man in a deep fake video he made with AI. The cautionary video shows how artificial intelligence can be used to manipulate people by generating doctored content. It goes on to show how AI lets him morph his face into Virat Kohli, Robert Downey Jr, and Shah Rukh Khan.
It’s right that this clip is raising alarm bells. Are we preparing as a society to deal with potentially deceptive content that can be mildly entertaining at best, but at worst, divide us all? Anand Mahindra captioned it “Can there be tech checks that serve as safeguards?”

The video has 2.4 lakh views, 5712 likes, and more than 1300 retweets since it was posted on January 21.
People commented on how this technology can be used for malicious purposes and spread fake news after watching the video. “We should be deeply concerned about this ever-expanding phenomenon,” wrote one user. Another said, “AI technology comes with responsibility.”. Misuse should be accountable.” A third said, ”Very alarming @anandmahindra sir!” Besides this, the way #AI is expanding raises a lot of concerns. Is it going to kill a lot of jobs? Maybe. As a society, we need to protect ourselves from falling too deep into a trap!”
Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan commented on the post and said, “Indeed alarming sir.” I imagine the work isn’t that good. Deepfake videos will be even better with more inputs and powerful computers.
