As reported by The Associated Press, Ukraine’s capital city Kyiv was again targeted by drones early Monday, three days after a large-scale missile attack, authorities said.

According to the Kyiv city administration’s Telegram account, more than 20 Iranian-made drones were detected over the capital’s airspace, 15 of which were shot down.
As reported by the Associated Press, a critical infrastructure point was hit.
Several infrastructure facilities, as well as private houses, were damaged, and two people were injured, according to Oleksii Kuleba, governor of the Kyiv region.
Vitali Klitschko, the mayor of Kyiv, also said explosions were heard in two districts, Shevchenkivskyi and Solomianskyi. Emergency services are working in the area, and no immediate casualties have been reported.
Russian self-explosives drones launched from the eastern side of the Azov Sea across Ukraine were destroyed by Ukraine’s air force on Telegram.
In recent months, Ukrainian forces have reported increasing success in shooting down missiles and explosive drones.
Air raid sirens sounded across all Ukrainian regions early Friday as Kremlin forces launched a large-scale missile and drones attack. Kharkiv’s northeastern region was among the targets.
Both there and in Poltava, widespread power outages were reported. At least three districts of Kyiv were also affected by explosions. The building in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, was hit with casualties likely, officials said.
After failing to seize Kyiv in the spring, a top Ukrainian army commander warned on Friday that there is “no doubt” that Russian forces will attempt to seize the city as soon as January.
The US on Thursday sanctioned Vladimir Potanin, Russia’s richest tycoon but left his company, mining giant MMC Norilsk Nickel PJSC, untouched as it tries to maintain stability in the metals market. There are plans at the Pentagon to expand Ukrainian forces’ training in Germany.
