California Shooting: A mass shooting in a largely Asian city in southern California has left ten dead and at least 10 wounded, law enforcement said Sunday. The suspect is still at large.

The suspect was a male, but it wasn’t clear if he was still on the loose.
An hour after a Lunar New Year party, the shooting happened at a dance venue.
Video posted on social media showed emergency workers carrying injured people to ambulances.
Police cordoned off streets around the scene of the shooting, which was reported to have happened at a dance club.
There were tens of thousands of people at the two-day Lunar New Year festival earlier in the day.
Seung Won Choi, who owns a seafood barbecue restaurant near the scene, said three people ran into his restaurant and told him to lock it.
People who sought shelter at the owner’s property told him there was a man with a machine gun nearby.
Los Angeles City Controller Kenneth Mejia tweeted: “Our hearts go out to those who lost loved ones in Monterey Park tonight.”
Around 61,000 people live in Monterey Park, most of them Asian.
In the United States, there were 647 mass shootings last year, according to the Gun Violence Archive website, which defines a mass shooting as one where four or more people are shot or killed, not including the shooter.
