YouTube Music Playlist: YouTube Music has reportedly started giving users an easier way to view their ‘mix for you’ playlists with the help of grid view. The ‘mixed for you’ playlist now shows a ‘more’ button in the top right corner of the app. This will allow users to view their blends for chill, focus, workout and energy mood in a neat grid manner. In addition, YouTube Music is also redesigning the album UI on Android tablets.

YouTube Music Playlist: According to a report by 9to5Google, YouTube Music is now giving users the option of ‘More’ in the ‘Mixed for you’ section. This will allow them to see their songs supermix and my mixes for Chill, Focus, Workout and Energy Mood in grid view in the app. Previously, users could only ‘mixed for you’ playlists by switching on the appropriate mood filter, and the default home carousel was only My Supermix, My Mix 1-7, Your Likes, Discover Mix, Replay Mix, and New Release Mix.

The latest Carousel appears to be a part of the server-side rollout as of now, and is, therefore, accessible to some Android, iOS and web-based app users. In addition, YouTube Music is also reportedly redesigning its Albums UI, which is visible in portrait mode. This redesign shows the artist, type of media (album) and release year at the top of the app on Android tablets.

YouTube Music Playlist: This new album UI design was first obtained by a Reddit user. Album art now appears in a blurry background in the YouTube Music app. Meanwhile, this rollout is happening very slowly on a view-by-view basis and it could happen anytime in the future.

Furthermore, another recent report suggests that YouTube Music has reportedly started rolling out support for Android 12 media recommendations that shows recent albums and playlists, allowing users to directly start music playback. The new update will show users three recently played tracks in the compact card while opening the quick settings will show six songs.

The report also states that the compact card is also visible when the smartphone is locked. YouTube Music’s notification card has an option to shuffle tracks as well as a shortcut for users’ offline mixtapes.
