Viral Video Watch: Security camera footage showed the bike rider trying to clear his vehicle from the track but got stuck there.
A man abandoned his bike and ran for the moments of his life before a speeding train ran over it at a railway crossing in Etawah, Uttar Pradesh. The dramatic escape that took place in the city’s Ramnagar area last week was caught on security cameras.
It can be seen in the footage that the bike rider was trying to clear his vehicle from the track but it got stuck there. Seeing the Jharkhand Swarna Jayanti Express approaching the railway crossing at high speed, he abandoned it and ran off the tracks.
Several pedestrians and bike riders waited at the crossing as another train was passing through adjacent tracks. Seeing a train on their tracks, they all went back, except one, whose attempt failed as his bike slid off the road.
The bike got crushed under the train and some damaged parts of the bike were later found near the tracks.
It is learned that the bike rider tried to cross the track even after the crossing was closed and a notice has been issued to him. He is also likely to be arrested.
