PM Modi inaugurates Deoghar Airport: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday, July 12 inaugurated the 657-acre Deoghar airport, which has been built at a cost of 400 crores. PM Modi also flagged off the Deoghar-Kolkata IndiGo flight from the new airport.

PM Modi had laid the foundation gravestone of Deoghar field in May 2018. The airport has a 2500 meter long runway, which can handle the wharf and takeoff of Airbus A320 aircraft.

 Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said on the occasion that the field would be connected to Ranchi, Patna and Delhi in the coming days.

 Jyotiraditya Scindia also blazoned that Jharkhand is going to get three further airfields. The minister said that 14 new air routes will be made available in the state to increase connectivity.

After launching the field, PM Narendra Modi said that Bihar and West Bengal will also profit from this design.

 PM Modi said,” Not only Jharkhand, numerous areas of Bihar and West Bengal will also profit from these systems.” The dream of erecting an airport in Deoghar has been fulfilled.

Shri Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation gravestone of several road, power and other structure systems.

This includes widening of Palamu- Gumla Road, Rehla- Garhwa Bypass and Mirza Chowki- Farakka Road, besides the elevated corridor from Kachari Chowk to Pisca More and Itki ROB in Ranchi.

 The widening of Gorhar- Khairtunda road, Khairatunda- Barwa Adda section and Ranchi- Mahulia section are also involved in the systems.

 Ranchi station redevelopment, Jasidih bypass newline, Godda trainer conservation depot, and Garhwa- Mahuria doubling are also part of the road systems that Modi inaugurated or laid the foundation gravestone for.
