Lucknow’s Lulu mall: All India Hindu Mahasabha’s program to recite Sundar Kand in front of Lulu Mall in Lucknow was postponed on Friday after a meeting between police and mall officials. Police officials arrested two activists of the Hindu body when they were in the mall to recite the Sundar Kand.

Lucknow’s Lulu mall: Kiran Tiwari, wife of slain Hindu Samaj Party (HSP) chief Kamlesh Tiwari, was placed under house arrest in Lalbagh when she was on her way to Lulu Mall to chant Sundar Kand. Kiran Tiwari is also the President of Hindu Samaj Party.

The Hindu organization has demanded strict action against those who offer prayers inside the mall and has given a week’s ultimatum for this.

Lucknow’s Lulu mall: The Hindu had on Friday sought permission from the local authorities to recite the Sundar Kand in front of the mall. The decision to postpone the event was taken by the Hindu body after a meeting of Lulu Mall general manager Sameer Verma and police officials.

The police officer along with Lulu Mall’s general manager Sameer Verma reached the residence of Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Mahasabha’s national spokesperson Shishir Chaturvedi with a list of employees working in the mall.

Lucknow’s Lulu mall: Shishir Chaturvedi said, “Lulu Mall GM Sameer Verma asked us to postpone the event and Lucknow Police officials were also present. We are not satisfied with the list of employees and have demanded an inquiry.”

People offering Namaz at Lulu Mall

Earlier in the day, Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha released another video of people offering prayers at the newly inaugurated Lulu Mall in Lucknow.

Terming it as Lulu Masjid, Hindu Mahasabha national spokesperson Shishir Chaturvedi said, “People from a particular community are being allowed to offer prayers inside the mall. Mall authorities have been asked to offer prayers to Hindus and people from other communities as well should be allowed.”

After the video of Namaz went viral, he sought permission to read Sundar Kand in front of Lulu Mall in Lucknow.
